A decision was taken in the Summer of 2008 to extend the miniature railway it will now follow down the side of newmans siding and we will create a new station terminus and better locomotive facilities. Below is a diagram of the new layout to be established in Newmans sidings. (We will try and get a better diagram)
In the Beginning
A Storage area with old sidings

The point parts and sleepers have now been removed for nunnery loop. Below are pictures of the line at present, with the new storage facility.

The staion loop has now been completed and the track has now been fully ballasted. The station is taking shape with the paving slabs being laid to form the platform. A crossing over Newmans siding has also been created to allow public access to the railway. The trackbed has been laid along Newmans siding and is now awaiting track.

The turntable is at the far end of the line from the station area, and is awaiting the track to align with it.

The 30/03/2009 saw the completion of the infrasture on the extension. The old Whittlesford footbridge has been removed, which has allowed the railway to be extended and for Drawell station to be finished. The 29/03/2009 also saw the first use of the new loading ramp.
